I try to understand you, why not give me a try?

You think you have me figured out, but ask anyone I'm a stranger

Sometimes I like it that way but it wouldn't hurt if you came a little closer.

What hurts is when you come close just to help and watch me suffer

Only to tell the tale because your heart is bitter.

Don't run your mouth, lying lips are an abomination

Making up stories because I gave you none.

I kept to myself because you placed me on display

Always discussing me, then again my place was always center stage.

What did I do to you? Your troubles I did not cause

I had to learn you don't need to do something to someone for them to not like you at all.

Maybe your spirit's just different, calm and graceful

They are loud and always angry, traits in themselves they find distasteful.

You walk with class and an air of prosperity

So they devise wickedness against you, forgetting your father dwells Heavenly.

You tried to hurt me, not once not twice more than seven

I see you read your bible but you clearly skipped over Psalm 37.

You gossip you idle and your mouth is always going

Yet when you hear familiar things you wonder who goes telling.

Don't run your mouth, lying lips are an abomination

Do not judge me, all your deeds are fast approaching a revelation.
